Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to lodge a formal objection regarding the proposed 291.03-hectare parcel at Ashley (encompassing 12 individual sites) within the Cheshire East SHELAA. Based on national policy and local conditions, this land should be deemed Unsuitable and Undeliverable:

Failure to Meet Release Standard: This parcel serves as an essential "wash-over" Green Belt zone that keeps Greater Manchester and Cheshire distinct. It does not qualify under national "Grey Belt" exemptions and must remain protected from urban sprawl.

Irreplaceable Agricultural Resource: Constructing here would destroy exceptional Grade 2 and 3a farmland, removing valuable Best and Most Versatile (BMV) soil from production and threatening long-term food security.

Conflict with Local Planning Hierarchy: As an isolated countryside location, Ashley lacks the robust transport networks, utility capacities, drainage infrastructure, and core amenities necessary to support a development of this scale.

Compounding Environmental and Safety Threats: The development introduces severe conflicts with flight safety corridors, worsens flooding along the River Bollin basin, and endangers irreplaceable natural and historic assets—specifically 19 Listed Buildings and adjacent ancient woodlands.
