Dear Sirs
The respondent objects to further housing development in Alsager, citing over 2,000 new homes built in the last decade without corresponding investment in infrastructure. Concerns include increased traffic congestion, air pollution, pressure on GP services, school capacity, water supply and sewage systems. They oppose the loss of farmland, arguing it is important for food production and national food security. The respondent also expresses concern over the loss of green spaces, including a former quarry site expected to become community space, and believes development at Close Lane will worsen traffic and reduce residents’ quality of life.

Dear Sirs
We have lived in Alsager for 10 years and in that time more than 2000 homes have already been built here with no increase in facilities! and have to say is having a detrimental effect on residents health due to:-
A huge increase in traffic, causing air pollution, trying to get through town is awful due traffic jams etc
No extra doctors so it is very hard to get appointments!
No extra school places?
The water and sewage situation, everything is under pressure now...more homes will only make it worse! It is recognised that we have a shortage of water as a country as a whole, what effect will
more and more homes do for these services. The water company have been regularly topping up the reservoir just outside the town.
We are totally against building on farm land, Im sorry but we need to keep these fields for growing crops to feed Britain as a whole so we can be independent as possible as a country. I thought the quarry was to be set to be a community green space for the residents........that seems to have disappeared despite locals wanting it!
It appears if there is any green space we must build on it, no green spaces left for residents to enjoy Im appalled. People need space to live and breathe, not be surrounded by bricks and mortar.
The building off Close Lane, will put added pressure on traffic and roads........
Please look at leaving farmland alone, its wrong to build on them.
