I strongly object to the proposed development of the Ashley sites. As a resident of Ashley Road, I am concerned about the cumulative impact of developing approx 291 hectares of open countryside across 12 adjoining sites. This would cause significant harm to the Green Belt, permanently remove valuable agricultural land and fundamentally alter the rural character and identity of Ashley. It would also increase traffic and pressure on already constrained roads connecting Hale, while placing additional demands on schools, healthcare, drainage and other infrastructure. I urge the Council to exclude these sites from future plans and protect this important countryside.
