Dear Sir,

I1 ) would ask the CEC to consider using the number of brownfield sites in its area rather than pursuing the development of Green Belt Land .

2) The Peak District was the first National Park in the Uk and Macclesfield and the surrounding area - the gateway to the park - should not be negatively impacted, either visually or in terms of changing its character by unnecessary development of The Green Belt.

3) The Green belt is an important buffer between urbanisation and countryside a space that provides beauty , visual stimulation and a sense of calm, important for mental wellness.

4) As you move from the Cheshire plain eastwards towards the Peak District unsurprisingly the land becomes hilly ! The topography,- where I live in Macclesfield , changes at the bottom of Buxton Rd as it takes you on towards the Cat and Fiddle. Any development of Green Belt Land in this area would have far greater negative visual impact , both from above and below , than building on Brownfield sites on flat ground .
