I am in complete agreement with Cheshire East's proposal. Indeed, it is similar to a proposal I made during the local consultation about 10 yrs ago.

To give balance to the village, development along West Lane makes sense. Also, the road junctions at the village should be re jigged so the junction is composed of 1 leg of West Lane only. The village hall should be recited on the new development and the existing village hall leased to 'Tesco Express' or similar with its existing car park. West lane could then be a 20/30mph road and any housing development should allow council rentals as well as private. However, I suspect there will be many objections to your proposal, and indeed mine.
