Local plan scoping consultation

We wish to object to the inclusion of the employment area to the south of the railway adjoining Broadoak Lane as it would effectively join the built environment of Knutsford to Mobberley (there should be separation of the two), put traffic onto already congested local roads (noting that there is very very limited public transport, with both Knutsford and Mobberley stations being too far away for active travel), adversely affect the character of the area, loss of green belt, light and noise pollution would be inevitable and result in a loss in agricultural land needed for food production.

We also wish to object to the inclusion of the housing areas (i) bounded by Broadoak Lane, Town Lane and Smith Lane and (ii) between Ryecroft Lane and Pavement Lane. The reasons for both are similar in that they are under the flight path (the 2022 caravan site planning appeal and 2014-2016 Ilford Photo/Harman Technology inspectors ruled that those sites were unsuitable due to adverse effects on human health from aircraft noise, so should be the same for these sites), loss of green belt, put traffic onto already congested local roads (noting that there is very very limited public transport, with both Knutsford and Mobberley stations being too far away for active travel), adversely affect the character of the area and result of in loss of agricultural land.
