I strongly object to the proposed development of thousands of homes on Green Belt land at Ashley. This beautiful rural landscape is far more than open space—it protects the character of our villages, supports wildlife, and provides a vital buffer preventing the unchecked expansion of the Manchester conurbation. Once Green Belt is lost, it is lost forever. I urge the Council to protect this irreplaceable countryside, uphold the purpose of Green Belt policy, and reject any application that would permanently damage Ashley's rural identity for future generations.
