In the three years I've lived in CE,the amenities in my village have been halved- post office is gone, Disley Library hours cut in half, parking fees introduced at the train station, train services cut, prices for trains doubled, bin services cut by half, local tips closed. How is this village meant to support a doubling in size as proposed under this plan? It would require quadrupling of infrastructure ( to make up for existing cuts).

There is not sufficient capacity at the moment to deal with the existing waste. Tips are not accessible in Disley any more for anyone who doesn't drive.

In Disley,National rail has doubled ticket prices in the last three years with simultaneous cuts to timetables. Where there used to be hourly trains on weekends there is now one every two hours. Trains are overfull much of the time and not set out to deal with weather extremes. If snow or high temperatures hit, the trains stop running. The existing infrastructure cannot be relied upon as it is. How is Cheshire East proposing to increase these services in line with planning?

In Disley broadband provision relies on old telephone wires, which are currently rotting away. New lines would have to be installed to meet proposed demand.

In Disley,a the main pedestrian access ways to Lyme park from green lane has been closed off for more than 2years due to a wooden footbridge being damaged. Instead of fixing the pedestrian access for this well-used route for tourists, hikers and locals, CE has just completely shut the route off as "solution". Plastic barriers that are now mouldering in the river. With such blatant disregard for locals' interests (next entrance to Lyme park is 2km away), how can it be trusted to provide access to nature rather than block it further with these proposed housing developments off green lane?
