Farmland provides 2.1% of jobs locally so should it would be detrimental to local economy to build on any land that isn't already built on. We have so many vacant and disused buildings including disused mills which we should be redeveloping first. Climate change means we cannot just leave resources to rot because of listings or unwillingness if landlords to repurpose unused commercial space...it should have a time frame on any unused space so that it can be compulsory to bring it in to use.
