I strongly object to the proposed development sites around Sutton parish. These plans would destroy productive farmland, harm wildlife, overwhelm already stretched roads and local services, and permanently erase the distinct identities of Lyme Green, Sutton Lane Ends and Langley by turning them into suburbs of Macclesfield. Housing targets must not come at the expense of our countryside, food security, rural economy and community heritage. Once this landscape is lost, it is gone forever. Cheshire East Council should reject these sites and prioritise sustainable development on suitable brownfield land instead.
