I ask that new Local Plan’s Green Belt and Grey Belt evidence takes account of the Council’s previous site-specific assessment of land at Disley Meadow, SK12 2HH (application 26/0974/FUL). The Council concluded that the site did not strongly contribute to Green Belt purposes (a), (b) or (d) and therefore met the NPPF definition of Grey Belt. The site is physically contained by the railway to the north and canal to the south, with limited risk of settlement coalescence. The Council also concluded development would not fundamentally undermine the remaining Green Belt. This evidence should inform the forthcoming Green Belt assessment.
