I am a resident of Oak Lane in Kerridge, a conservation area used by many for recreational activities.
Like many houses in the area there is no off road parking. Mass development of Adlington, Billington and Kerridge will bring more cars and people without the infrastructure to support this:
1. The hospital at Macclesfield already struggling with capacity and Emergency Department waits. Parking facilities inadequate and public transport expensive and infrequent.
2. There is one GP surgery and even if more surgeries were built there are not the GPs or Nurses to staff them; remember the Nightingale Hospitals
3. There are 2 charging (slow) points for electrical vehicles on the car park in Bollington
4. The schools cannot cope
5. The bus service runs infrequently
6. An urban sprawl will affect wildlife significantly and we sit on the edge of the Peak Park
7. The developments will not provide homes to rent (council housing) they will be the usual ‘family homes’ with a drive for 2 cars, increasing over reliance on a car as a mode of transport with associated pollution
8. Farmland will be swallowed up reducing ability to grow food, moving reliance to imports and associated loss employment and increase in carbon footprint
9. The town centre in Macclesfield needs significant investment since the loss of large retailers; those not using a car are at a disadvantage
10. The developers are large corporations who are not contributing to the UK economy, taking profits abroad. The developers want to build in our fields as it is easier and therefore cheaper. They should be refused and forced to sell back the land.

I understand we need suitable homes, but these homes need to be rental properties, using vertical development (maximising land usage) and crucially developed on Brownfield sites not fields or greenbelt.
