I'd like the new plan to take a much closer look at where development actually gets put, right from this early stage. Too often greenfield and Green Belt sites end up being allocated simply because they're available, while brownfield or better-connected options get overlooked. Mobberley is a good example of the problem — it's a small village inset within the Green Belt, with narrow roads and few transport links, yet it keeps attracting large site submissions. I'd like the Council to commit now to properly testing alternative, more sustainable locations before falling back on villages like this

The scoping document covers a lot of ground, but I'd like to see clearer sign-posting between the general policy themes and how they'll actually apply to individual settlements. As it stands, it's hard to tell how issues like spatial distribution or infrastructure capacity will be worked through for places like Mobberley. When the evidence base is developed, I'd ask that settlement-level context — Green Belt status, transport constraints, existing service capacity — be combined into a weighted score to allow clear cross comparison of different sites
