I strongly object to the proposed development on Land North of Blakelow Road. This site is part of the true GreenBelt and forms an important gateway to the Peak District. Building on this prominent hillside would permanently damage the area’s natural beauty, biodiversity, and rural character. Once Green Belt land is lost, it cannot be replaced. Macclesfield needs sustainable development, but it should prioritise brownfield sites and previously developed land before sacrificing protected countryside. Future generations deserve to enjoy these open spaces, which provide wildlife habitats, recreational opportunities, and an important buffer against urban sprawl. Please protect this valued landscape.
