The proposed development at Leighton, Church Minshull and Minshull Vernon crosses the A530 road which forms a natural boundary to the urban sprawl that Crewe is developing into with it's associated traffic and social problems. This area of countryside is unspoilt by pylons, railway lines, roads and development which cannot be said for other suggested development locations. The Weaver valley and it's neighbouring unspoilt countryside is an important area and should be protected as green belt and should not be sacrificed to opportunistic, short sighted developments.
