In Lockdown open spaces were said to be essential for health. Now the same spaces are only valuable for housing. In my area it is not even affordable housing. Giant mansions with security fencing blocking views and wildlife corridors.

New housing must be more compact. The environment cannot cope with endless detached mansions on big plots.
Not everyone has a car. What can be provided in walking distance? Cheshire East has a good network of rights of way in most areas, but landowners are making these hard to use, eg very narrow (photos available)
