Grey belt is a ridiculous concept as it is so open to interpretation. Brownfield sites should surely be prioritised (even though profit for the greedy developers will no doubt be less inviting) and use of these sites would generally boost struggling town centres. What about also ensuring that the huge number of parcels of land being “sat upon” by greedy developers should be given a time limit to start developing. .

Brownfield sites need to be prioritised as they can revive town centres. They are clearly less desirable to developers as they make less profit but government should be enforcing development of such sites.
