5.76 "national policy requires plans to maintain a sufficient supply of minerals of national and local importance". Insert "and timely" to accord with the NPPF.

5.78 "Clay resources are present but are not considered likely to be economically viable." We would welcome sight of the economic appraisal to support this statement.

5.80 Policies should ensure a supply of building and roofing stone is maintained

5.81 "below the required seven years". Insert the word "minimum". Policies should "ensure that large landbanks bound up in very few sites do not stifle competition".

5.83 Policies should include scope for prior extraction.
